When people call about snow removal, the first question is almost always the same: which plan should I get? We have three residential plans, Basic, Standard and Premium. They are all a flat monthly price for the winter, plus GST, and none of them are billed per push. The difference is what gets cleared and how often we come back.
The short version: Basic is for people who just need the driveway done. Standard adds the front walk and steps plus sand and ice melt, and it is the one most families pick. Premium is for people who cannot afford to be snowed in at all, because we keep coming back for as long as it keeps snowing.

Basic Snow: $249 a month
Basic covers your driveway. Every time 5 cm comes down, we clear it, and our goal is to have driveways done by 6 AM so you can get out to work.
Who it suits: people who are fine doing their own front walk and steps, or who have a short walk that takes two minutes with a shovel. The driveway is the heavy part of the job, and Basic takes that off your plate.
One thing to keep in mind: the City expects the public sidewalk beside your home to be cleared within 24 hours of a snowfall, so if you go with Basic, that part is still on you. We wrote more about that in our post on sidewalk snow clearing rules in Grande Prairie.
Standard: $399 a month
Standard is our most popular residential plan. You get the driveway, the front walk and the steps, plus sand and ice melt. You also get priority response.
Who it suits: families with kids and older parents coming and going, anyone who gets a lot of deliveries, and anyone who does not want to be the one salting the steps at 6 in the morning. The front steps are where people fall, so having the walk and steps cleared and treated is a big deal for a lot of households.
If you are wondering how we decide between sand and ice melt on your property, here is our post on sand vs ice melt.
Premium: $599 a month
Basic and Standard are cleared once 5 cm falls. Premium is different. We clear it as it builds and we keep coming back for as long as it keeps snowing, with unlimited storm visits. If it snows three days straight, we come back every day. Premium customers are also first on the route.
Who it suits: people who leave early for shift work, anyone who works from a home office and has clients coming by, and anyone who simply wants it handled no matter what the sky does.
Questions to ask yourself before you pick
- Who in the house is going to shovel the walk and steps? If the real answer is nobody, skip Basic.
- What time do you leave in the morning? If you are out the door very early or on shift work, Premium being first on the route matters.
- How bad is it if you get stuck? A missed morning is a bother for some people and a real problem for others.
- Is anyone in the house unsteady on their feet? Sand and ice melt on the steps come with Standard and Premium.
- How long is your driveway? If yours is a lot bigger than a typical city lot, call and we will talk it through.
What every plan has in common
All three are a flat monthly price, so you are not watching the forecast worrying about a bill. We plan our routes so we can get to everyone on them, and we cap our routes every year so we do not take on more than we can handle. If you want to know exactly when we head out, read our post on the 5 cm snow removal trigger.
Common questions
Are your snow plans billed per push?
No. Residential plans are one flat monthly price, plus GST, and are never billed per push.
Which plan includes sand and ice melt?
Standard and Premium.
What does unlimited storm visits mean?
On Premium, if it keeps snowing, we keep coming back. Three days of snow means three days of visits.
Do you do businesses too?
Yes. Commercial lots and sidewalks are quoted per property. See our commercial services.
